Pure fire. Pure form.

How it works

A flueless bioethanol fireplace from Vauni makes it possible to enjoy a real flame without smoke, soot or ash. Here, we explain how our fireplaces work and why the technology is simple, safe and environmentally responsible.

When thinking of a crackling fire, it is often associated with traditional combustion. Vauni’s flue-free fireplaces are instead based on a different technology, using bioethanol as fuel.

The fireplaces are fueled by denatured bioethanol, a liquid fuel that provides a controlled combustion when used according to the instructions. During combustion, carbon dioxide and water vapor are formed, and unlike traditional combustion, no smoke, soot, or ash is produced in the room.

Because the fireplaces are flue-free, heat is not vented away through a chimney but remains in the room where the fireplace is placed. Vauni fireplaces deliver up to approximately 2.4 kW of heat at maximum output, depending on the model. The heat is experienced as direct and comfortable and can serve as a complement to existing heating during comfort use.

Bioethanol is a fuel produced from renewable raw materials and is used here to create a clean and controlled indoor fire, without the need for a chimney or permanent installation.
